Perfect Pear Crumble

Gluten, Dairy, Soy and Egg Free

INGREDIENTS
6 ripe pears
½ cup ground almonds
1/3 cup rice flour
1/3 organic raw sugar
60g DF Margarine + extra for greasing
1 tsp cinnamon
 
METHOD
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius and grease a deep 1.5 litre ovenproof dish with dairy free margarine.

Peel and slice pears and layer them in the base of the ovenproof dish.
Place ground almonds, rice flour, raw sugar, cinnamon and dairy free margarine in a large bowl. With clean hands mix until all combined and resembles dry biscuit mix.
Crumble over the top of pears evenly.
Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Serve warm and enjoy!

*I like to do as many recipes as I can sugar-free as well. But unfortunately this recipe does not lend itself well to xylitol as it is too dry. This is a special occasion dessert. It is simple and absolutely delicious!
